为鼓励在低排放未来方面开展合作,GRP 参与了 “2025 国际健康大会”(FIH 2025)。
NERACA, Jakarta – PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP), one of Indonesia’s largest integrated steel manufacturers, has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability—this time through its participation in the Green Industry Forum (FIH) 2025, held in Bandung on April 30.
Carrying the theme “Encouraging the Implementation of Green Industry in Indonesia,” the forum served as a strategic collaboration platform for industry players, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), academia, industrial associations, and international institutions. Initiated by the Ministry of Industry through the Agency for Standardization and Industrial Services Policy (BSKJI), the forum is part of the lead-up to the 2nd Annual Indonesia Green Industry Summit (AIGIS) 2025, which will be held this August in Jakarta.
During the forum, GRP participated as one of the speakers in a session titled “Best Practices in Green Industry Implementation.” In this session, GRP shared its experiences in driving transformation within Indonesia's steel industry.
In his presentation, GRP President Director Fedaus emphasized that sustainability is an integral part of GRP’s business strategy. He highlighted the need for high-emission industries like steel to become part of the solution by adopting cleaner, more efficient, and transparent technologies.
GRP has fully implemented an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)-based production process, with approximately 70% of its raw materials sourced from scrap. This approach not only significantly reduces carbon emissions but also strengthens its contribution to the circular economy. Additionally, GRP operates a rooftop solar power plant with an installed capacity of 9.3 megawatt-peak (MWp), making it one of the largest rooftop solar installations in West Java.
GRP’s various sustainability achievements have earned recognition from both the government and independent organizations. The company has received the Green Industry Standard Certification from the Ministry of Industry and the Gold-level Green Label Indonesia from the Green Product Council Indonesia (GPCI). GRP has also adopted the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) to enhance transparency in its product carbon footprints and is preparing to comply with global regulations such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
Attended by more than 300 participants, the forum also featured other industry players sharing concrete steps toward greener industrial practices. The panel discussions explored decarbonization strategies in manufacturing, adoption of low-carbon technologies, and the importance of policy direction in supporting green investments.
GRP’s participation in the 2025 National Green Industry Forum reinforces the company’s role in supporting Indonesia’s Net Zero Emissions agenda and advancing the national steel sector in facing the global shift toward sustainable development. Through the collaborative spirit shown in the forum, GRP remains committed to contributing to a greener, more resilient, and globally competitive industrial ecosystem.
Meanwhile, in his opening remarks, Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Industry, Faisol Riza, stated that the forum marks the beginning of efforts to build consolidation, strengthen innovation, and unify steps toward AIGIS 2025. He also stressed the urgency of accelerating national industrial transformation in response to the climate crisis, resource efficiency demands, and global market dynamics. The government, he added, is targeting a 31% to 43% reduction in industrial sector greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, with the goal of achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2050.
