PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) continues to advance sustainability through transparent and responsible production practices. GRP has obtained Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Green Label Indonesia certifications for its various steel products.

Sheren Omega, General Manager of Corporate Planning and Sustainability at PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk, emphasized that this achievement underscores GRP’s commitment to emission data transparency in its production processes.

"The achievement of EPD and Green Label Indonesia certifications is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to transparency and sustainability. It’s not just about meeting international standards but also about providing consumers with clear and accurate information regarding the environmental impact of our products. We believe this step supports efforts to create a greener and more sustainable future," said Sheren in her statement on Saturday (10/8/2024).

Sheren explained that the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) represents transparent emission data generated by GRP’s steel products, from raw material procurement, transportation, energy use, to recycling processes. As a Type III Environmental Label, EPD provides detailed information about the environmental performance of products, helping consumers make more environmentally conscious decisions. The EPD is based on a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method aligned with international standards. By obtaining EPD certification, GRP is ready to supply steel materials for green construction projects, including those in Australia and New Zealand, which have high sustainability standards.

Meanwhile, the Green Label Indonesia certification is a domestic Type I ecolabel that aims to prevent and reduce the impact of products on the environment, humans, and animals. This certification is prepared in accordance with ISO 12024 and is awarded by the Green Product Council Indonesia. Green Label Indonesia is part of GRP’s effort to support Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 12 on responsible consumption and production.
