GRP 支持降低勿加泗地区发育迟缓患病率的加速计划
Cikarang Barat, October 24, 2024 – PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) is committed to playing an active role in supporting the government’s initiative to reduce the prevalence of stunting in Bekasi Regency. During the 2024 World Food Day celebration organized by the Food Security Agency of Bekasi Regency, GRP reaffirmed its support for this program, which is a crucial step in improving the quality of life for children in the area.
To support the B2SA (Diverse, Nutritious, Balanced, and Safe) food initiative, GRP donated 600 kilograms of eggs distributed in three phases, a contribution aimed at helping meet the community's nutritional needs. Additionally, GRP participated in the Juice Drinking Movement attended by Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Drs. Dedy Supriyadi, MM., to emphasize the importance of understanding healthy and nutritious eating habits from an early age.
Furthermore, GRP is supporting the development of 10 children identified as stunted in Tambun Selatan and Telagamurni Village, West Cikarang, over the next three months by providing high-nutrition food and conducting regular health monitoring. This tangible effort ensures that these children receive the nutrition they need for optimal growth and development.
“Through our participation in this program, GRP wants to emphasize that all sectors of society, including private companies, can make significant contributions to positive change. We believe that supporting children's health is essential for the nation's future. As we aim for Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045, we must ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy and reach their potential. With cooperation and shared commitment, we hope to contribute to reducing stunting and help build a stronger foundation for the future of Indonesia’s children,” said Sheren Omega, General Manager of Corporate Planning and Sustainability at GRP.
According to data from the Bekasi Regency Health Office, efforts to tackle stunting have shown positive results. The stunting rate successfully decreased to 13.8 percent in 2023, down from 17.8 percent previously. With continued collaboration between the government and the private sector, it is hoped that by 2024, this rate can be further reduced to below 10 percent.
Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Drs. Dedy Supriyadi, MM., emphasized the importance of synergy between the government and the private sector in addressing the issue of stunting. “Support from companies like PT Gunung Raja Paksi is vital in accelerating the reduction of stunting in our region. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating a healthier and more competitive generation. We hope this initiative will inspire more stakeholders to get involved in addressing stunting, as only by working together can we create real change for the future of our children,” said Dedy.
PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk is determined to continue this commitment and will keep supporting various programs aimed at improving public health. With a spirit of collaboration, GRP hopes to make a significant contribution to the development of the surrounding community and create a better future for the children of Bekasi Regency.
