强化职业教育投入 GRP与4所职业高中签署谅解备忘录
As a private company operating in the industrial region, PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) is deeply committed to vocational education in its operational area. As stated by GRP’s President Director, Fedaus, this commitment is manifested through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four Vocational High Schools in the Bekasi Regency.
"The signing of the MoU is evidence of GRP's commitment to vocational education. To date, MoUs have been established with four schools in the Bekasi Regency," explained Fedaus in his statement to the media today in Cikarang.
According to Fedaus, the four schools are SMK Mitra Industri MM2100, SMK Negeri 1 Cikarang Pusat, SMK Negeri 1 Cikarang Selatan, and SMK Global Mulia. "Through this MoU, GRP will be involved in the guidance and development of vocational schools based on competency link and match with the industry," added Fedaus.
Fedaus emphasized that investment in vocational education is key to preparing the younger generation for the evolving world of work. Through this MoU, GRP is committed to providing maximum support to partner Vocational High Schools so that students can receive education relevant to industry needs. "This is one concrete effort to support Indonesia's vision of achieving high productivity and heading towards Indonesia Emas 2045. We believe that through quality vocational education, we can shape an excellent generation that will be the backbone of the country's progress," he explained.
Through this two-year MoU, Fedaus stated that GRP and its Vocational High School partners will engage in various activities. These include implementing fieldwork and internship programs for Vocational High School students. Additionally, there will be curriculum synchronization and alignment with industry and schools, industrial visits for learning purposes for both students and teachers, job placement in accordance with the company's needs, and certification of fieldwork and internship programs for students.
In this context, Fedaus concurs that vocational education plays a central role in shaping human resources ready to meet the demands of the workforce. This aligns with President Joko Widodo's emphasis in 2020 on the importance of a competitive younger generation ready to enter the workforce and support the entrepreneurial ecosystem. On that occasion, the President emphasized that vocational education is the key to lifting Indonesia out of the middle-income trap and moving towards becoming a developed country. The demographic bonus in the 2030s, with 68% of the population in the productive age group, is a significant asset in achieving Indonesia Emas 2045 targets.
Meanwhile, one of the partner Vocational High Schools, SMK Global Mulia, through its School Principal Warsidi, expressed, "We highly appreciate the commitment of PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk in supporting vocational education. This MoU opens great opportunities for students to gain practical experience aligned with industry needs, thus preparing them for success in the future workforce.
