第十一次获得 Blue PROPER，证明 GRP 对环境的承诺
Cikarang Barat, December 22 - For the 11th time, PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) has once again achieved the Blue PROPER from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). GRP is recognized for its compliance in the aspects assessed under the PROPER award, including environmental permits, control of water and air pollution, management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and waste management.
GRP's President Director, Fedaus, expresses gratitude for KLHK's trust, enabling GRP to attain the Blue PROPER in 2023. Fedaus also emphasizes that GRP's achievement in PROPER 2023 serves as evidence of the company's commitment to the environment. As one of the largest private steel companies in Indonesia, he adds that GRP not only considers all assessment criteria for the PROPER award but is also committed to continuous innovation in environmental programs. The goal is to make a positive contribution to sustainable development in the operational areas of the company.
"Equally important is the active role of management and the high commitment of all employees in maintaining environmental sustainability, which strongly supports this achievement," Fedaus stated to the media today.
The PROPER Environmental Award for 2023 was previously presented at the Bidakara Hotel Jakarta on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. In his welcome speech, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’ruf Amin, mentioned that PROPER can also serve as a compass to guide sustainable business practices. Namely, by encouraging companies to apply green economic principles and achieve beyond compliance with environmental regulations, said the Vice President.
At the same event, Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry, Alue Dohong, representing the Minister of Environment and Forestry in accompanying the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, also conveyed congratulations. The Deputy Minister congratulated the company for consistently demonstrating environmental excellence in production and services processes, as well as conducting ethical and responsible business practices toward society.
PROPER itself is an award given to appreciate the business world's performance in environmental management, eco-innovation, environmental innovation, and the environmental leadership of the company. Starting 27 years ago, PROPER aims to encourage industry compliance with environmental management regulations. In 2023, a total of 3,694 PROPER participant companies were evaluated.. (*)
