GRP 举办 "全国职业健康与安全月 "系列纪念活动
Cikarang Barat, February 2, 2024 - PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) once again demonstrated its commitment to occupational health and safety (K3), by organizing a series of activities in commemoration of the National K3 Month. The National K3 Month, which runs from January 12 to February 12, 2024, carries the theme "Cultivate K3, Healthy and Safe at Work, Ensuring Business Sustainability". This is an important opportunity for GRP to raise awareness and compliance among employees towards K3 standards.
In an effort to strengthen the K3 culture within the company, GRP organized various activities involving all levels of employees. One of the main activities was a Safety Talk session attended by more than 200 participants, including members of the company's Emergency Response Preparedness (KTD). In this session, participants listened to speakers from the Provincial Manpower Supervisory Agency of West Java, who discussed the implementation of K3 aspects in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the steel sector.
Furthermore, GRP also encouraged the creativity and participation of employees through a TikTok video competition with the theme "Implementing a Healthy and Safe Culture in the Workplace". This competition aimed to increase collective awareness of the importance of K3 practices in daily workplace activities. First Aid in Accident (P3K) competitions were also part of the agenda for commemorating National K3 Month, where participants demonstrated their ability to handle accident situations and provide first aid based on case examples provided by the committee. GRP also paid special attention to the understanding and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR) through demonstrations.
In his statement, Senior Labor Inspectorate Officer of the Department of Manpower of West Java Province Natrom, S.T., M.M., emphasized the importance of implementing K3 in industries, especially in high-risk industries. He also appreciated GRP's efforts in increasing K3 awareness among employees and organizing various activities that support the K3 culture.
GRP President Director, Fedaus, expressed his commitment to occupational safety and health, "Our management is fully committed to supporting the implementation of K3 in the company. A disciplined, safe, and productive work environment for employees is our priority, where we hope this can be achieved through collaboration from all workers to create a safe and healthy work ecosystem."
Senior Manager QHSE GRP, Charis Afianto, added, "Safety and occupational health are important aspects that should be the primary focus of every individual in the workplace. We believe that safety is not just a policy, but it is part of a work culture that must be embedded in everyday activities. Proper and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), conducting Safety Briefings before starting work activities, and conducting periodic audits related to the implementation of K3 aspects according to company operational standards are steps that are not only important but also a shared responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for every employee."
Every year, the company strives to improve K3 aspects in its operations. For example, in 2023, GRP successfully obtained Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) certification, as one effort to meet national standards related to occupational safety and health management. This certification is evidence of the company's commitment to improving operational quality and providing added value to all stakeholders.
Occupational safety and health are not just responsibilities but an absolute necessity that must be embedded in the company's culture. By organizing various activities in commemoration of National K3 Month, GRP continues to reaffirm its commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for all employees.
