GRP Supports School Construction of SDN Sukadanau 01, Demonstrating Its Commitment to Education
West Cikarang, June 8, 2023 - PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) supports the construction of the Sukadanau 01 State Elementary School (SDN) building, which is worth nearly Rp 470 million, located in the West Cikarang area, where the construction process is planned to conduct for about four months. The symbolization ceremony of the support was carried out together by GRP President Director Abednedju Giovano Warani (Argo) Sangkaeng and Principal of SDN Sukadanau 01 Kardiana, S. Pd.SD, and witnessed by members of the DPRD Commission IV Bekasi Regency and local government agencies on June 8, 2023.
Education is an essential element in shaping the nation's next future generation. This is also stated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030: Quality Education. GRP realizes how important education is; moreover, Indonesia is predicted to reach a golden generation in 2045. Therefore, the company is committed to supporting and advancing education in Indonesia, especially for the communities around the company's operational areas.
In his remarks, GRP President Director Argo Sangkaeng said, "The assistance with the construction of the Sukadanau 01 Elementary School building is a concrete manifestation of the corporate social responsibility program in providing proper facilities and infrastructure to achieve quality education for the community. This assistance is expected to positively impact the surrounding community, especially students. The new building will be a better and more comfortable educational facility for students to increase their learning enthusiasm in pursuing their goals.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SDN Sukadanau 01 Kardiana appreciated the building construction assistance provided by GRP. "We are grateful for the initiative carried out by GRP in helping to build it, which some time ago had collapsed. This activity could also be an example for other companies, so by collaborating, we can form a future generation of Indonesia that has good qualities".
