Cikarang Barat, July 7, 2023 - PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP), one of the largest private steel companies in Indonesia, has received three prestigious awards at the 2023 SPEx2® DX Award held by GML Performance Consulting (GML) and Kontan. The award ceremony took place on July 6, 2023. The awards received were: The Best SPEx2® Company in the Manufacturing Industry, The Best Company in Executing Digital Transformation in the Manufacturing Industry, and The Best Chief Digital Officer in Manufacturing Digital Transformation for Felix Sugianto, IT Director of GRP.

The SPEx2® DX Award is an annual event to appreciate companies that have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and innovation in uncertain times. In its 8th year, the theme "Executing Digital Transformation" was chosen to recognize companies that have successfully overcome and optimized their operations amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. With a professional and competent jury panel, the selected companies have shown expertise in implementing digital transformation strategies to create internal and external value for stakeholders.

GRP stands out as one of the best companies because of its continuous commitment through strategic initiatives, approaches, and implementing digital transformation in its operations. Abednedju Giovano Warani Sangkaeng, President Director of GRP, expressed gratitude for the three awards received and the recognition of their performance. Some of the digital transformations implemented by GRP include:

  • Implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to optimize truck traffic within the factory complex and provide timely information on truck departures to customers and vendors, improving clarity and satisfaction for their logistics fleet.
  • Collaboration with Darwinbox, an HR technology platform, to digitize human resource management processes and enhance the employee experience.
  • Implementation of customer relationship management applications to assist in handling customer orders.
  • Use the ERP system SAP S/4 Hana to facilitate data entry into the system.
  • Establishment of a data warehouse system to collect and integrate data for more straightforward analysis of the latest data with dashboards across all company functions.
  • Integration of artificial intelligence into the processing of scrap metal to reduce errors in the production material assessment process.

By 2022, the company had invested approximately USD 1,972,208 in IT development activities.
