Green Steel for Growth Convening 2026 is a multi- stakeholder forum interest standard national that brings together representative ministries, institutions government, steel industry, institutions finance international, organization public civil, institutions research and partners development. This forum at a time become the launch momentum official report "Indonesia's Low-Carbon Steel Opportunities to Maximize Industry and Economic Growth" as well as introduction of the "Green Steel for Growth Network" collaboration platform, a network Indonesia's green steel ecosystem that connects all over stakeholders interest in one coordinated platform.
Ivan Widjaksono come on stage as source person in Industry Panel Discussion with the theme "Industry Perspectives on Low Carbon Steel: Competitiveness, Investment, and Market Protection", which took place in the session second (13.00–14.05 WIB). With resource persons from Meranti Green Steel, Dexin Steel Indonesia and IISIA, Ivan brought perspective concrete industry about challenges and opportunities in build low steel industry fixed carbon competitive, including GRP experience, needs investment, readiness technology, as well as importance market protection in support the transition process.
In his presentation titled "Indonesia's Green Steel Opportunity: From Market Potential to Industrial Competitiveness", Ivan said analysis deep about comparison EAF and Blast Furnace technology from perspective emissions and efficiency, challenges main Indonesia's green steel transition, in particular intensity carbon electricity national of 0.79 kgCO₂ /kWh which is still more tall compared to Vietnam (0.51) and China (0.59), and recommendation policy strategic which includes utilization of TKDN, anti-dumping, certification industry green, and green procurement as instrument acceleration transition.
